Unfinished.

Is it true what you said, that you'll stay for a while?
Whose bed, then, will you, in, betray?
Shall I set you a place at the table,
Or is hunger your form of disdain?
I believe you're in need of a shelter,
I believe most what you've had to say
That you've prayed and were set on this journey
Through the qualms and the cold of your faith.
And Jesus, a son, had apostles
To level his burden and weight
I believe that you're sharing a cross with
Each man that you pass on the way.

Shall I ever approach you with cuffs rolled?

"I've heard a sound far set into the woods."

If ever you approach me
If ever I am at your side
Don't look me into the eye
Don't look to me at all
For I will be a wrath
That's took upon your path.

"Mother, take your son."

Mother, take your son.

Mother, take your son who falters.

Mother, take your son who falters when you let him go.

Mother, take your son who falters when he’s left alone.

Mother, take your son and hold him tight.

Mother, take your son against your chest.

Mother, take your son, he’s falling free.

Mother, take your son to show you care.

Mother, take your son, he needs a home.

Mother, take your son and bring him close.

Mother, take your son who falters, hold him to your chest, when he’s falling free, bring him close and don’t let go.

Mother, he is alone.

Part V.

If darkness be a plague, then I am plagued
If silence be a fear, I am afraid
The solid of these walls may only contrast
The soft of tender hands bled red with shame.

Part IV.

I remember you always
dancing at the fair
dark brown hair
eyes closed and ever
spinning in circles
turning, and slowly
walk towards you only
to be less a coward...

Part III.

There were always the days
when the world had forgotten
all that we meant
to everyone loved
and all that they meant
to us in our thoughts.

I wish that in some way
these days would come back again
it hurts to remember them
it hurts to remember friends.

Part II.

It's been a long while
I look for your smile
Upon every face
And in every crowd
Won't you see that I miss you
Won't you say you forgive me
I wait for you now
In the heart of all cities
Just for a chance
For a moment to grasp
That you're no longer needing
That you no longer need me
But you're still who I look for
When meeting a stranger.
